First vocation: mechanics

COMEY was founded in 1966 by Maurice Belbenoit and started out by producing special machines for industry and mechanical sub-contractors. The first raised access floor panels left our workshops in 1973. We rapidly became the exclusive manufacturer for a national light construction work company and developed our own range of products.
Raised access floors have been our core business at COMEY since 1989.

At the start of the 90s, Marc Belbenoit and his brother Pierre joined the company. Comey developed its manufacturing tools and became one of the leading French manufacturers.
The company took shape and developed services adapted to the market requirements: advice, sales follow-up, a design and engineering department, quality, research and development, a works department.
Prestigious projects were completed and Comey's reputation spread beyond the French border.

In 1995 COMEY began to install its own products, which allowed us to enter the market for large office contracts and control our approach right through to the end. COMEY has also founded several raised access floor installation and covering companies.

With the aim of opening up and providing our customers with top quality service, COMEY has been developing partnerships over the past few years with the world's leading manufacturers of products for clean rooms (HAE KWANG, Korea) and special technical rooms (BERGVIK, Sweden).
